What does " South Korean Pressing" mean? DVD
I am looking at DVDs of the original Fatntasia. They run close to $50. However, there is a " South Korean Pressing" that costs about half.
What does that mean? Will it play on USA format DVDs? Do they violate copy right laws? Does anyone know?

It's most likely a bootleg. DVD's are region specific. There are two ways to play it: You can rip the DVD and recompile it to USA region playback or you can hack your player to play all regions. Not all players can be hacked. Check out dvdshrink.org for more info on ripping. I was going to also recommend doom9.org, but it seems to be down.

If you look at the comments for this product at amazon.com you will find that it is the Korean language version.

Buy used
Unless it's a present for someone else where presentation is the key, I'd go with a used one from Amazon. They have a very decent set of folks as resellers. Amazon is good about putting pressure on them if things are not what they seem in the description.
The bonus is you just deal with Amazon. If there's an issue, it's their transaction and from what I have heard, they'll help to make you whole if a reseller tries to rip you off, as opposed to buyer-beware ebay. I've bought some nice OOP books and a few other items and yes even one DVD this way with great success. With the DVD of Fantasia, I'd think the DVD itself is the most valuable. They appear to have some used with cracked or worn cases, but with the claim that the DVD itself is fine. The $30 price range seems to be the best value.....until Disney re releases it from the "vault" for the upteenth time. Also, I imagine with Fantasia in particular, a lot of the used ones out there are indeed barely used. People who watch it a lot won't part with it. Most of the used ones were probably watched once.
