Yeah it probably is like brand new.

To bad its not the V8, but $20k isn't to bad of a price.

Watched a broadcast of Barrett-Jackson last week and ironically, saw two on the auction block . Both 97, one, a 500 SL and the other, a 320SL.

The 320SL went for $15K and the 500SL went for $17.5K...they both looked mint. Surprised they didn't do better...

Very nice!

I like the V6 application - since these SLs aren't really true sports cars anyway - the V6 has plenty of ummmph for this car.

Yeah, but what were the miles on each of them? I like loooow mileage pre-owneds.

Its not a V6 its a straight 6, M104.

Aside from a few tuner cars (Saleen Mustang, etc.) I've not seen a lot of mid/late-'90's cars at Barrett-Jackson. I'm guessing that the soft prices were due to relative lack of bidder interest.

I'm not sure about this one. That car has been posted on Craigslist all over the US for well over a year now.
