This if the NFL, not a kid's Pee Wee league. If a grown man can't handle getting blown out like that he should not be playing in the NFL.

I never thought the day would come where I agree with you on something. But yes, Favre is the man. But the Vike's D-line are also "the man" as well.

That was one hell of a performance. Go Vikings!

I missed that part. I came back in and there was some discussion going on about whether they really needed that last touchdown or not, sorta introducing the idea of piling on. But oh well, the object is to score.

I looked for a youtube of that, couldn't find it and instead found some clips of Favre's last second TD win over the 49ers last fall. I was working the day of that game and had only heard about it. Some kinda pass:

The cowgirls are whining crybabys - Favre stated that they weren't able to run for yardage so they went to the air. Like that's hard one to figure out.

Favre and the Minnesota defensive line is the man!!!!!

Red face 31 Saints -28 Vikings

Well, if Favre's Vikings had to lose.....I'm glad it was to the New Orleans Saints.

I don't normally get into blaming the refs but that pass interference call against the Vikings in overtime was unfortunate. Didn't look like interference to me and the pass was uncatchable anyway. Sorta handed the game to them at that point, not that the Vikings hadn't more or less handed it to them already.

There were a lot of unfortunates that game, most were caused by the Vikes themselves, the Saints gave them every oppurtunity to win the game even after all those mistakes....I need a break from the Vikings for awhile. 8 months until next season might not do it this time.

Even though I was pulling for the Saints, I think the Vikes got hosed on a couple calls and reviews.

That was vintage Favre, though. Took a beating, had good numbers, made some plays very few could make and nullified it with one boneheaded pass across the field while rolling right.

It will be poetic justice since his last pass thrown as a Packer was an interception in the NFC Championship game 2 years ago and now, what may be his last pass as a Viking and perhaps ever in the NFL will be an interception in which he tried to throw back across the grain and his body.

Favre is still the man of the hour. He'll go down in NFL history as one of the most prolific QBs.

More irony is that Favre's first pass in the NFL was also an interception. It is almost like a set of book-ends.

Whoops! Not anymore they are not. Remember, as in the Highlander: In the end, there can be only one. One winner and the rest are losers.

Oh man, I know that feeling. It's a bit strange the way we can get so invested in the fortunes of a bunch of guys we've never met, will likely never know personally, some of whom we might not care for too much if we did know them.

The mistakes of the Vikings were frustrating in this one all right. Favre's last pass could serve as an example of why a player ought to go out nearer their peak. I mean, the guy is good and inspirational, but all of us slow down a bit with age. A quick scramble for 5 to 10 yards, and the kicker would have had his big chance to be the hero.

I like the guy, but it is interesting that he's thrown more interceptions than anyone else in NFL history. Maybe he takes more risks, I don't know, or risks worth taking, that is.
