Where kan I buy Kava?

The guy who sold me the 380SL and I meet periodically to have coffee and talk. He told me recently that he can no longer drink reguiar coffee because it has too much acid in it.

I remember there used to be a coffee called Kava that had the acid taken out. They used to advertise: all the kick of coffee without the acid.

I looked it up but it only seems to be sold in boxes of twelve containers for 86.00 a box, which is a little steep for me. I'd buy him one and give it to him but not twelve.

I am told Kava is also sold locally in grounds and instant.

Anyone ever seen it? If so, I might ask someone to buy two, ship them to me and I'll pay by Paypal, now that I got that fixed.

Thanks

I thought kava was a drink sold in Hawaii and other polynesian island that has similar effects of alcohol but without the hangover effects. Apparently it has some healthy attributes to it.

Googling kava comes up with this:

I think your friend was referring to steamed coffee. The steaming process removes coffee's acidity. My brother picked up a pound of it in New Orleans and I really enjoyed it.

Kava also has a dirt flavor, of you could imagine that.

I like mine in root form. Tea is also good (you can find it at most health food stores)

Not nearly as strong as a couple of good beers. Leaves you with a clear mind (motor skills untouched) and a relaxed state of mind. No edge like coffee.

I would try some, I recommend it. Just hope you not one of the 2% that are allergic.

It appears that Kava Coffee- a brand of low acid coffee made from coffe beans- has been roundly confused on the IN with kava kava- made from the root of the kava plant.
Here's a link to Kave coffee, which what you asked for may not be what you need.

I've done a fair amount of research to find a coffee that doesn't cause any undue stomach acid and, more importantly, don't swell the prostate.

I am successful in that endeavor and can confirm that the coffee that is sold by Zabars in NYC fits the bill perfectly. Either their house blend or their columbian blend will be excellent.

I do believe they will ship to you, or, I can send you a pound to see if you like it. It's only $9.00.........very reasonable for such a good product.

Get a cold drip coffee maker. It makes acid free coffee from any type of ground coffee and it is considerably cheaper than Kava.
