Ever wonder why some people shut off the water at their garages in winter?

Oops. I was a little concerned when I left my place to do some work in California during November and December. I left the heat off, but the water heater on. It got down to 17 below while I was gone, but the pipes didn't freeze. I consider myself lucky. I think the heat from the neighbors' ajoining units (and maybe the family of cats living in the crawl space) had something to do with it.

Idk, I found it online... I'd hate to try to explain it to an insurance adjuster though..

At least they had the top on the convertibles...

Once it all melted off I bet the cars would be fine.

The question is how long it will take the ice to melt. ;)

Close the door and stick a Mr. Heater in the corner and "Not long at all." would be the answer to the question. :D

Well, how much water would flood the garage then ;)

Sometimes the car doesn't even have to be in the garage for that to occur...
