OK KIDDIES.....

AGAINST "THE LAS VEGAS LINE," WHICH TEAM DO YOU THINK WILL WIN?

MAKE YOUR CHOICE:

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

OR

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

*I chose the COLTS, who are favored by 4 1/2 points - last I checked.........even though I want the Saints to win!

I hate both teams. I don't know if I'm even going to bother watching it... but I bet the Colts are gonna trash the Saints.

That's what I'm afraid of.

Every year I try to figure out how to catch the adds without having to actually watch the game.

My heart is with the Saints but my mind says Colts.

Is the Miami field, turf or natural grass?

I imagine the saints will keep it interesting but the colts have much more complete team from what I have seen (which is very little).

Its going to be the Saints. They'll tear out to a big lead in the first half. Manning will catch up and get close in the second half - there may even be a little back and forth lead exchange happening. But at the end it will come to some freak play at the right moment to help the Saints - missed field goal, interception, fumble, or something like that. The Saints should have lost all kinds of games this year but they didn't because the breaks have fallen their way just about every time. It is almost like some supernatural force wants them to win, and interferes just enough to make it happen. The Saints have played great football this year, no doubt at all. But they've also had more than their fair share of good breaks as well.

Didn't see many Colts games did you? Down against NE, down against the Jets in the playoffs. A lot of games they were down. Then comes the 4th. Somehow the Colts pulled them out, or just fired on all cylinders. This is just a one year fluke either. They did it against Tampa, when they were a playoff/SB caliber team. "Just Catch the ball,Keshawn'.They did it against the Titans, when they were tuff.
I won't diss the Saints. I think they have the players etc. A lot like the Colts, they got lucky, or stayed in close games and came out the winner. There were more than a few game either should have or could have lost, during the regular season. Some against not very good teams. Remeber the Redskins? The Saints do have a better defense than last year. Actually, in the begining of the season, they were one of the better ones. I think this is the best defense the Colts have had. I don't think the Colts offense is the best they have had, though. It lacks a strong running game. Also, Freney is injured. No excuse though. I am sure some of the Saints are nicked up etc. Always fun to debate which team could clame to be the best if they had all their players 100%. The Colts are missing more than a few, Sanders and Gonzales come to mind. Also, Vinetari.
It could go as you say. If from what had playout out most games this year, the Colts will get behind early. Then the offense will even the score, by half time or in the third. Then whos the best in the 4th? I think the Colts. I want to see the Colts win, so I don't have to hear how a great QB Brady is. Other than that, or if it wasn't the Colts, I'd cheer for the Saints. Kind of a soft spot for them, that oges back to Hebre (sp) and Iron Head Hayward. One of the few running backs that actually punished the defense.

Saw plenty of them, they're my wife's favourite team . As you said, they spent much of the season coming back from deep first half deficits. I don't know that will work so effectively against NO, especially if the Saints' offensive line can protect Brees the way they did against the Vikings. It's going to be a hell of a game, but I'm still going with the Saints.

Being a Ravens fan, and not particularly enamored of the Indianapolis Professional Football team, and having watched Manning for some time, I can't pick against them. In the games against the Ravens, who have a pretty good defensive team, Manning was consistently able to hit recievers in a VERY small window. I mean an error on his part of 1 foot or 2 , and they would have been incomplete, or intercepted. As it was they were receptions and he kept moving the chains. Not only that, but he was able to use whatever angle was required to get the ball delivered--whether a straight-arrow, or a floater. Almost always on time and on target.
The few times the Ravens had penetration, he simply dove to the ground to avoid a big hit.
There is simply not a better quarterback in the game today than Peyton.
Colts to win and cover.

I've been following the Saints since they touched the ball for the first time 43 years ago. I've been on the sideline in the Superdome for many games although they lost many of them. If they win, I will cry.
