Besides the pic in my signature at the bottom of the page, this is the most recent photo. Mods include a matte black grill, Euro headlights, de-badging in back, Sportline suspension, and 15x7ET36 C class dished 8 hole wheels. The stereo is still in progress.

I see all sedans so far so here is my W124 wagon.

I also have a 1991 300E.

BTW, anyone interested in a Colgan Custom Bra for the W124?

Theres my baby, Some future Changes will be the new wheels and Euro Lights.

Car is lowered using Neuspeed springs, 2 bump front, 3 bump rear spring pads. I can go lower if I want, and I still might up front..

I've been trying to get around to washing the 300E for some pics. I'm in Boston this week and I understand an ice storm is blowing in while I'm gone.

If there's nice weather this weekend, I hope to give it a hand wash for some pictures which I will post here if this thread is still active.

Have a great day,

Larry,

Hopefully the bitter cold and ice stay in the north, or have moved on before next week. I'll be coming home to the Patria next week to conduct some interviews. Flying into San Antonio, then driving down to Del Rio (with no plans of going to Ciudad Acuņa). Hoping it's warm when I get there. Enjoy Beantown.

1992 300D 2.5 Turbo

Here's my workday ride. Decent shape outside, as new inside including new wood, 121k. miles. Mods:
* Synthetic fluids throughout
* 16" X 7.5" E420-look alloys, 215/55-16 ContiTouring Contacts
* Bilstein HD Struts/shocks
* Nokia cell phone integrated into OE speaker, antenna & radio interrupt

Great highway car, but a dog around town, pretty much. We've even begun to refer to it as "The Dog"! No offense D owners...hey, I'm one of you!

Michael:

Have you ever tried to time 0 - 60 in your 300D 2.5 Turbo?

I just got a 1987 300TDT. Similar engine as yours but with one extra cylinder. I thought it was pretty fast in town or on the highway. I timed 0 - 60 three times in three different days now and the average is 12 seconds. Would love to hear your numbers if you have.

I've never really timed it, but I do know that the factory claim is 0-60 in 12.5 seconds; I'm inclined to think that'sa about right.

However, as I understand it your car's notably faster! My tech drives one and says it'll blow the doors off my D, and I believe him

Michael:

If mine were the sedan version, I have no doubt that it would be faster than yours. But mine is a wagon and it is a lot heavier.

12 seconds is what I got and I like it.

1992 500E

Here's our pride & joy; mods:
* Alpine/PPI/MBQuart sound system (actual weight likely 100 lbs)
* Synthetic fluids throughout
* 17" X 8.5" AMG wheels, shod with Pilot XGTZ4 245/45-17
* Cryotreated OE brake rotors
* K&N air filters
* PAD chip (apparently useless, as Jim will attest)
* Best 0-60: 5.08 (per Gtech)
* Best 1/4 mi: 13.8 @ dragstrip; 13.38 per Gtech (on a cold night)
