Speaking of Concerts, Suggestions for Concert DVDs?

I'm looking for concert DVDs, with great guitar performances.

My son is a beginning guitar player and is much more interested in the music when he can watch the DVD or see the performance on Youtube. (Blame it on too much video games.)

I couldn't get him to listen to Stevie Ray Vaughn until I played the DVD for him (with Double Trouble). Then he wouldn't turn it off.

That's a modern classic, a must for every six-stringer.

I've not had a chance to watch It Might Get Loud but I've heard that's fantastic.

By far my favorite music DVD (this should come as no surprise if you read my comments in the last thread) is Muse's HAARP DVD. I'm a piano freak so that's a big selling point on this DVD but the frontman is quite a guitarist. Very big show at Wembley Stadium, lot of energy, huge variety of songs.
I also like Nine Inch Nails' Beside You In Time DVD. Very intriguing and creative music.
Also ... and this isn't really a concert DVD ... but ... YELLOW SUBMARINE. I LOVED the Beatles' Yellow Submarine as a kiddo. Loved it. Still a classic now that I'm an old person.

But if your son wants guitar inspiration, I'd suggest IMGL, even though I haven't seen it. I have heard nothing but awe, and that's kind of what I'd expect given the personnel involved.

Hmm, I have to check it out. Better than the "Rust Never Sleeps" film?

My next door neighbor turned me on to "Mark Knopfler, A Night in London".

He has a VHS copy, and I made a dvd recording for the both of us. It is fantastic. I don't remember enjoying a concert DVD as much.

My favorite song is "Imelda Baby"....has a fantastic guitar solo.

Check it out on YouTube:

Here is a link to the VHS on Amazon.com:
