You know you're a serial highway speeder when your eyes follow every cop you pass going the other way right into your side mirror, and then your rearview to make sure he doesn't throw up a rooster tail and bust your ass. Sometimes if youre lucky they'll have their radar turned off, and they'll flip a ***** (u turn) while they try to turn their gun on and nail you. If you were paying attention when you cruised past him you'll have time to slow down and tuck into the right lane whilst behaving like an ordinary motorist.

I wasnt particularly nice to my rental car... I was in a bind and needed on my leave, but being 19 and having ALOT of underaged charges and "must get full coverage" stuff, it cost alot more then it should have...

SO, because it's a self for-filling prophecy...

Miles and MILES of nothing out west. Still managed around 30 MPG combined total average throughout the 900 miles I had it.

At 115 I hope some one else took the picture .

Gotta love them rentals ! And to think someone buys them when we finish with them !!

And think they got a bargain !! (A thoroughly tested bargain )

Oh yeah, I'd never buy a rental...after the horrible things we did to a Buick my friend had...I feel for the next owner.

Check your speedo reading, it's 111mph. There was NOTHING. Straight road, no traffic, no visibility restrictions, nothing. I took the picture, I was at NO risk to anyone but myself and my friend. We both knew the risk, took it, and that's the end of the story. No "what if" games, they drive me nucking futs

I wasnt nice to it, whatsoever. Except I brought it back clean. It did pretty good reverse ****ties in a big parkinglot by the hotel after it snowed

Didnt idle right when I brought it back, I informed the counter man, he said "yeah, that sometimes happens"

Smiled, and dropped the keys off.

The last time I drove a rental the speedo was bouncing around between 50 and 80 (I was driving a single constant speed) I already had my 'if I get pulled over' speech ready.

"Sir do you know how fast you were going?"
"Actually officer I have no idea, the speedo was telling me something between 50 and 80 even though the RPMs never changed."

No worries or reprimands meant on this end by any means more like a holy sh** more amazed that a focus could do that and stay steady.

( flipping a nova at 100 plus puts me far away from being the poster child of safety)

Like I said rentals Gotta Love em !!!

Drove a 4x4 jeep from enterprise warning sticker said do not take off road !

Yeah Ok sir .
2 blocks away the roof came off then the road disappeared ..........
If you get the chance do it !!!

Have a great day best of luck to you in the sand box !!

the car rental company actuaries calculate for this type of behavior and
include the upcharge in the rental. not only do they UPcharge the rental to help cover damages due to the mechanical destruction of the vehicle, the rest of us pay substantially more as well.

nothing is "free".

kinda like people who think it is fun to rip off linens from hotels they stay at. they think they are being smart, but in the end, every time they stay at that hotel, they are paying for it. and, so are the rest of us.
