Got a new toy...

Well not until Friday, I have to work tomarrow and can't go get it.

Hint:
Its shiney, stainless, and amazing.

Its made in Italy, and its been used by the army for the last 20 or so years.

I fired one today and that was it, I have to have one now! Accurite as can be, and sweet to shoot. Almost as good as a 1911, just a tick down. I was going to buy a Wilson Combat, but I don't want to spend that much on a pistol right now.

After I get it I'll make a few changes, but its pretty much perfect right out of the box. The best part is 9mm is a heck of a lot cheaper than .45 at the moment!

Lots of people ***** about the M9, but for a duty gun it's not bad at all. I find them plesant to shoot, accurate, and with very managable recoil. Then again, when I lived in Arizona (open carry state) I had a S&W 686 .357 6 inch that dissuaded folks with ill intentions from putting me on a list of people to mess with. So pretty much anything is lightweight to me. Have you seen that new Springfield XDm? It looks fantastic. I've also used a Cz70 .32acp with a CCW permit. My tastes are all over the place.

Yeah, my friend has one and I have shot it. Its a good gun, but I'm not into the plastic guns right now.

I want a Tokarev next since ammo is dirt cheap. I can get a 1,200 round case for $100!

Also I hear CZ's are amazing, I'd like one in .45ACP.

I've had this since the Mid Nineties:

One of my favorites, and I've owned probably a dozen different pistols in my life. It fits my hand perfectly and is a pleasure to fire.

Looks nice. I've got two Glocks from the early 90's (high capacity mags), standard models, 9 mm and 40 S&W.

I pretty much couldn't hit the proverbial barn with a pistol, although I do better with the 9 mm than anything else.

Lot better with a rifle. My favorite is a modern manufacture Marlin .45/70 lever action. 45 cal 350 grain hollow point is the lightest load they sell, cartridge is as big as your index finger. If you can't stop something with five of those rounds, you'd best call in an air strike.

Is that a more precise version of accurate?

Pistols are pretty hard to shoot well, rifles are a lot easyer!

I was popping targets at 100 yards last week with my Sig and outshot my friend with his Colt M4 with an EoTech stuck on it. I was just using the crappy irons that it came with!

I can't wait to get the K31 out, he is going to need a Sako or 700 to keep up with that.

The .45/70 is a big round. I was checking out some of the larger stuff when I was up at Cabala's, .375H&H, .416 Rigby, .470 Nitro!

The coolest round I have seen was the .408 cheytac that our local gunstore had! That was a neat rifle, it was designed to engage targets out to 2000m!

I've got the Taurus knock off I got as a gift. Good gun I guess, it shoots when you pull the trigger. Not that into guns though.

I like the Beretta 92s...particularly the heavy slide Border Patrol model. But, I do have some concerns about their safety(ies) ever since one of Thing One's boarding party ADd a round into his lower leg as he was holstering the weapon prior to going over the side for a boarding.

Nobody was ever able to duplicate the accident conditions but best guess was that the front sight hung on the holster, pulled the slide out of battery and then slid forward with enough energy for the firing pin to inertially contact the primer and discharge the pistol.

Not much room to complain here since I own and hunt with an unmodified Ruger Flattop .44, the pistol that basically caused development of the transfer bar system.

I had a Taurus 92 made in the old Beretta factory years ago. Couldn't get a good hold of the thing because of the big mag. I can shoot my PPK/s alot better.

Sig P220, never a problem

Had a CZ52. That thing was hilarious with the 7.62/25 Tokarev round. Muzzle flash and noise like you wouldn't believe.

Anyone else here have an 03 FFL?
