Truck Bed Cover

The truck I bought came with a bed cover, or tonno cover made out of fiberglass. its large and kind of heavy. I wouldn't have bought it for the truck, but since it came with the truck I'm using it. 90% of the time I'm happy its on there. when driving around town or hauling car parts its nice that they stay dray and in a locked box. problem is the 10% of the time i need to move something large I have to fine a place to put this thing. Sadly the Mercedes has become auxiliary storage for this thing. I put a blanket over the car and then set this thing on the cars roof.

anyway, my problem is, since i'm taking it on and off about once a month the edge is getting some chips in it, where the paint ends and the fiberglass begins. I'm thinking some kind of rubber strip the grips the edge of the cover would protect the edge from chips and the Mercedes... or where ever else i find to store it.

I'm thinking something like this


But I really don't need any of the weather stripping just the edge grip rubber part.

the edge of the cover is about 3/16 of a inch thick.

anyone have any ideas? do they have anything like this at Lowe's or Home Depot?

I've seen a product like that at JC Whitney under 'trim'.

Thanks Kerry, JC Whitney slipped my mind. I was on McMaster Carr for work, and thought I'd give them a look, but every thing they had was to "fancy"
