'06 C280 1/4 mile time

Heya Peaches,
I was wondering... What kind of 1/4 mile time can an '06 C280 4matic 5speed auto churn out with 243 lbs of driver along for the ride? I'm thinking about going for the "15 second" class at the street fights at the Bristol Dragway.

I've driven one so I can only assume that it is rated as 'craptastic'

Your reply is not in any way helpful. I wasn't asking whether my w203 would run a 9 second quarter, and I'd be watchful of whose 24,000 mile CPO car I call "craptastic" if I were trundling around in a rod bending SDL.

Lets get out of the flames...
Would my estimate of around a 15 second quarter mile time be accurate?

I would say mid 14s to low 15s.

The 2006 C350 can do it in high 13s, so that should give you an idea.

cool, it would be pretty fun to race in the fifteen second class, and it's only 15 bucks for three back to back to back runs.

Read the review of a C280 4MT, and it said 0-60 in 7.5 (Non-4MT is 6.9), which would equate to a HIGH 15 second or flat 16 second 1/4 mile. 4MT adds some time.

Per cars.com: 15.60 seconds at 87.83 mph

I think you mean 4AT? MT is manual trans.

4Matic.

That works too :)

Never seen that before, on window stickers 4AT and 6MT are the transes.
