An electric fence unit would probably work better than just the straight battery.
A can of ether may be better for putting the child back to sleep than mace

There is something I don't really don't understand and it may be that someone can help me. If you connect the positive and negative battery terminals to a single bar, how will that work? It will short out will it not? Perhaps the best thing would be to put a copper sheet at the bottom for the ground?
