Audi R8

I was watching the show last night in which they show how the Audi R8 is manufactured. Anybody else see that? Wow, what a car! I know it's not a Benz, but it's pretty schweeet-looking.

Has anyone here ever driven one?

After that, they had a show about building Rolls Royces. I did do the Rolls Mystery Shop a couple of weeks ago, but I'll do the next one that comes up. Man-O-man, what a fine car that Ghost is.

I remember seeing that when you posted it before. What a beauty! Apparently, they are all built to order, so you can have your R8 pretty well customized right from the factory.

They are everywhere, nice cars though.

IMHO I like the S5 more than the R8, that coupe just looks mean in black at night.

I drove an 8 cylinder R8, my S600 felt faster. Look at the 10-banger instead.

It occurred to me that I am not sure why you would need a defroster on the back window. Seems like the V8/V10 defroster would work sufficiently.

I love the car. Top Gear did a spiel on it. I have not priced one for the US market but Clarkson ran off the list of options and it does seem like they nickle and dime you. Then again, it does offer you the option of having one just the way you want it assuming you have the cash to back up you desires.

Its actualy "cheap" in a way, think of it like the "poor" mans Gallardo.

I saw a red Audi TT coupe the other day with big blacked-out panels on the sides, to give the general appearance of the R8...cheesy up close but kinda neat from a distance.
