A while back, I posted my little mistake of leaving my old Blackberry 8330 in the engine of my car while using it as a flash light.

Much to my sadness the phone was chucked out onto the road and a friendly local picked it up. The screen was destroyed, but it could still make and receive calls.

A week ago, I was browsing Ebay for a replacement Blackberry because the Touch Pro that I got was beyond terrible. I wanted to buy a brand new Curve, but while I was looking at the Curve 2 I found a screaming deal on one for $45.

Yes $45 with a buy it now option The sale said that the phone was completely working, in a near perfect condition with a small ding on the top, and came with a body glove case. For a price reference the Curve 2s go for roughly $200 and the Curves go for about $100 on ebay.

I knew it was too good to be true, but I decided ," Heck who cares it's only $45" I can also do a charge back on my Amex card if it turns out to be false.

I bought it and waited a week.

Just last Friday, I got a prepaid USPS box and sure enough, I have a fully working Curve 2 as my new Blackberry. It wasn't stolen, the phone booted up, and it looks great.

I can't believe I missed my Blackberry that much.

Thats great, enjoy. You can still get a deal now and then on e-Bay you just need to look hard.
I've never been fan of Blackberry but if you are happy that is all that's counts

Yup, use whatever works for you. I use a iPhone, one of my kids uses a blackberry and the other used a iPhone. My wife has a dumb phone and refuses to deal with anything more complex.

I went to a local car club meet for the first time and some dude with some droid thing shat on my iphone for about two hours. I was like remind me to sit somewhere else next time.

LOL, if that's his biggest problem in life he needs to get out more. That's about as productive as debating coke v. Pepsi.

Man what a deal! I cracked my screen on my Storm, and was looking at getting a curve2. I went and played with one, but the screen is so small! I love my BB and wish they would hurry up and add more memory and come out with OS 6.0 already! I need to check ebay to see if I can find a deal on a Storm2...

Nothing screams ignorant when someone gets into a phone debate with me. I've owned them all. Palm, Windows Mobile, Blackberry, Motorola. I know what I like.


Next time ask them to explain the underlying technical structure of the phone and why it is better. 9/10 times they can't.

I know. I just want the webkit based browser. Opera Mini's giving me trouble with the trackpad ever since I upgrade to Verizon's latest firmware. Version 5 just plain sucks and 4.2 isn't compatible anymore
