Dodge "Monkey" Commercial

I guess PETA has nothing better to do these days...

http://buzz.yahoo.com/buzzlog/93924?fp=1

IMHO, it was a lame commercial, with or without the chimp.

Wonder why they didn't raise a similar stink about the "trunk monkey" ads from a few years back.

Indeed. Some of the comments posted are almost classic. One in particular - "if that chimp built the cars in the commercial, that explains Dodge's build quality".

IMHO, not quite true - I think that the chimp would have done a better job than most UAW union reps I've met.

One other cutting comment from the responses - "they tried replacing the chimp with a PETA rep - but they weren't able to train the PETA rep how to operate the plunger".

OTOH, if some of the responses concerning PETA's activities, from people claiming to have had recent dealings with them, are true, that organization has become nothing more than a collection of thieves, hypocrites, and charlatans of the highest order.

That's one of those things makes you tilt your head and hold your chin and say Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. This world is full of mysteries.

As in Scopes Monkey Trial, noteable high profile showcase concerning teaching creationism vs evolution in the schools.

And nearly a century later, apparently we still haven't settled the issue.

Learned about the trial from my 6th grade teacher. But back then, we still had at least some teachers that would actually try to educate you, instead of just teaching how to pass a NCLB standardized test.
