old computer game question

back when I was in school, we had a computer game or program, it was a black screen with a white turtle, and to get it to move you had to type code and it would do what you asked it to, Do any of you know what it was called?

Yeah I think someone just qualified for the vagueness award

What year did you play this game?
What sort of codes did you have to type?( Using the arrow keys wouldn't move the turtle?)
Was it 2D or 3D?
Was there any color?
Vertical perspective or horizontal?

By the sound of it i'm guessing that we're dealing with some late 80s or early 90s 5 1/4 diskette game.

Oh it's way way early 90's it's 2d ( if it were 3d it would kill the computer) it ran on I think windows 95 or some sort of DOS shell, the commands would be like, Move turtle Up 12 draw left 22 stop draw down etc and it worked basically x,y Axis its, it may also have been a white screen with a black turtle.

I have heard of this. It was not a game. It was a simple programming language to teach beginners how to write programs. There is still something similar:

This is based on Logo:
