Even assuming the study is true, it seems that it not saying that if you ave gene X you will be a liberal. What it is saying is that if you have a certain gene and you have certain experiences along with the gene then you might be liberal.

Who cares anyway. As if being a liberal is a bad thing. I am quite content with my beliefs, some of which are liberal.

It's rigidity I object to more than any particular persuasion. I have a mix of political leanings - depends on the merits of the case.

But a rigid hard lefty, say like a KGB or East German secret police operative who mercilessly hounds the most benign if enemies of the state is a scary thing. Not much more or less scary than a henchman of Pinochet.

Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances, that's the key to the survival of an organism.

You object to rigidity?
So someone who is rigidly honest is a problem? How about a mate who is rigidly faithful?

Is it rigidness you find unattractive, or straight, party-line politics?

For the record, I actually plan to vote for a democrat in tomorrow's election.

Rigidity can be good or bad depending on the situation. Rigidity in thought is not a admirable trait in my opinion. Situations change and a person has to be willing to look at the evidence, hear different view points and adapt accordingly. Stay the course is not always the best course as Cpt Edward Smith found out.

Now Beck has gone after Megan McCain doing a PSP for skin Cancer. He just does not know when to stop does he. lol

Beck On McCain
Quote:
In a segment on his Wednesday radio broadcast, Beck had taken brutal aim at Meghan McCain's appearance in the ad, feigning vomiting into a trash can.

"I'm getting sick just looking at it because it's so sweet," Beck joked after a protracted fake vomiting session. He reportedly suggested McCain wear a burka to "be extra safe." "When I look at that picture, I think to myself, I get the point, put some extra clothes on," he said later in the show.

McCain the Senator just came out big time against 'enhanced methods' for gaining information. In fact he just blew the right wing argument about how great this sort of thing is to bits by stating that even though Sheik what-ever-his-name-is was waterboarded 182 times he revealed nothing of any importance due to it.

Perhaps Beck sees this as a slap in the face since he seems to be a big fan of enhanced methods.

Or maybe Beck just likes to see people get skin cancer. With Beck all you have to do is follow the money to see where he is coming from. Maybe someone will.

Beck gives morning DJs a bad name. I'm a bit ashamed of myself that I even know about him. If he didn't have such a large following, I'd ignore him completely. Megan McCain has had the audacity to buck the hard right line a number of times. And she's not a slender hottie. Far, far from hideous though. F*** Beck.

Oh, and re this thread (my creation): It's alive, it's ALIIIIIVVVVE!!
