...... requiring that humans sleep in past 1:00 PM at least once a month.

Kids/baby usually have me up around 5:30-6:00 a.m. I can't get to bed much before 11:00-midnight. Not a good combo.
Haven't slept in to 8:00 (let alone 1 pm!) since....since.... Memory fail. Blue screen in my mind. Rebooting... What were we talking about??

Usual routine for us is bed between midnight and 1, I'm up by 7 weekdays (haven't been able to regularly sleep for more than 5-6 hours straight since I was ~ 30 due to my arthritic spine).
Last night was a bit later than usual (2:30 or so), one thing led to another, and I'm guessing I was asleep around 4:00. I woke up briefly as Darling Wife was putting her book down around 8:00 (she reads voraciously - she picked up, and finished - a book after we were done playing). Snuggled up and fell back asleep - didn't crack my eyes open again until almost 2:00. Got up, fed the zoo, and rousted Darling Wife around 3:00. Late breakfast, headed out to Gettysburg and bought 25 pounds of peaches (some for a yummy peach crisp, the rest for canning) and had 8 people over for dinner. This kind of weekend I could get used to. 7 days a week even!
