I am getting tired of what is going on here at the forum.
I am getting tired of the sniping
The personal attacks
The vitriol and the bashing

It used to be if we had different opinions we could at least share a grin and a chuckle.

Now it is all "THE RIGHT SUCKS!" "NO THE LEFT SUCKS!" "NO THE RIGHT SUCKS!"

Well IT ALL SUCKS!

I used to love reading OD for the humor and the Pretty Girls Thread!

I admit I have been guilty of all the above in the past, but this constant shooting down of other people's personalities has got to stop. Is it because you are semi anonymous that y'all think you can go for the jugular at the first hint of a post that you disagree with?

Do we really need threads that are obvious trolling like the Glenn Beck threads or the one just now about CNN and Obama?

I am thinking maybe it is a good thing I am giving away Rudy and I might have to hang on the Volvo forums from now on.

I expect that this thread will get me infractions or even banned but ya know what? This had to be said and I don't care if you ban me.

This crap is out of control and the mods seem to be more interested in scoring points off people than moderating the forum.

I can see why Bot decided to drop off...

Before you make that assertion regarding decisions made by member Botnst . . . do realize that he merely found more unrestricted warfare and vitriol over on BW. In a sense, this forum was too tame.

Yup on the first part. I still enjoy OD but I just don't venture into the political stuff, even those when I might agree with the OP, since the posts are predictable based on the title.

I am with you...recently decided not to post very much in political threads anymore. Some folks will never change their minds and will argue them until their fingers fall off-- and in the end nothing happens except filling a thread with pages and pages of rhetoric while the rest of us talk about useful things like how to disable smoke alarms

. How did you manage to stretch a condom over a smoke alarm anyways?

Btw (and I mean this in a friendly advice way) some people take offense to alleging "trolling" so you might want to be careful - I learned that through an infraction.

It is sad that after viewing and admittedly participating in the behavior you now find so objectionable you aren’t able to keep it a more personal and private matter. You seem to need to now prostylitise “This had to be said and I don't care if you ban me “ Maybe there ought to be a decent period of time between you having your “come to Jesus” forum moment” and chastising others for not having the same.
