I have to say that there are a lot of obese people in OKC, but there are some very good housing deals to be had here in a market that has not been hit too badly by the implosion. Short commute times and plenty of recreational activities abound. There seems to be a park every two feet, so perhaps the data was skewed because of the super large area of the city limits (7th largest in the US); this includes wide expanses of rural property and unimproved areas. If you go where the people are, there are parks and such.

Kinda surprised the Vegas is on that list...
Anyone live there? What are the property values like? Anything like Florida? I anticipate living in Vegas at some point, might just buy a house there now, just in case.

Las Vegas has all sorts of boom town woes. The real estate bubble there was second only to Phoenix, which then cascades into building construction job losses, lowered property values and diminished tax bases.

My city isn't on that list. GR is known for having the most churches of any city in the USA. A city that prays together, stays together. It is very interesting to see how a populous "mood" changes between cities. In may of the small Michigan villages/towns, people are pretty cheerful. People in Lansing, MI...the capital, are quite helpful and nice. People in Muskegon, where I work most of the time, are rather rude and are much more likely to be unpleasant. Its very interesting. Tobacco use there is also much higher, it seems like everyone is smoking or chewing something!! I like GR, it is clean, maintained, not a lot of crime, and it is diverse in the population and the economy.
I'd never want to even visit the cities on that list. Yuck.

I'm surprised CT didn't make it to the list, Bridgeport is a nice little slice of the third world in my backyard.
