Got the car in the garage today
I really need a two stall. I bought a shelf thingy to put all my tools and stuff I had just laying against the side wall of the garage. The car fits in much better now, I'll probably end up buying another shelving unit to put the rest of my parts and stuff on.

That ain't a garage, that's a closet!
Darned good thing you don't have a W126! |

Another virtue of the W201! BTW, you seem to have ample wall & ceiling space, so instead of a floor rack, consider shelving or cabinets that are higher up the wall or perhaps a ceiling mounted flat storage area above the car.

Lol at least until I start working on the car again. I would, but I can't. Our landlord won't let me basically, otherwise that's what I would do. I really want to get the stuff at the front of the garage put on shelves so that I can put in a workbench or something, but that's probably not going to happen here. I would definitely put up a loft of some sort up there if I could. |

The 201
How do you like that 201 Colin? What's it like compared to the other Merc's you have experienced?

I love it, it's a great little car. It's small and nimble, can get you out of trouble when you need to, and comfortable. I'd drive another if I could, this one is a garage queen (although it's exterior says otherwise).
Of all the MB's that I've driven I'd say that this is one of the more practical and simple cars. I'd probably take it over a 123 if I had a choice, and put it on par with a 126 in terms of overall impressions. It's smooth, quiet, and refined. However there is next to zero legroom in the back, and you can definitely tell when there are five people in the car. I'd say that it is happiest with two people in it. |

Yeah.. legrooom.. what legroom. With an SDL you cannot touch the rear seat if you turn around in the drivers seat.. a 190E, you can touch the back window lol.
Great car though |

Both of my cars fit in my garage nicely. In MI we value our garages more than in FL.
The first time you do a repair in a foot of snow at 10F with a brisk wind, you see why a garage is so awesome!

Upon closer inspection I withdraw the "closet" remark. I see you have the needed items. Shelter from the elements for your car and room for a keg. Can't see how a man could need any more. Maybe a flat screen on the wall, a radio and a chair or two...

^We were going to, but the place we were looking at ended up getting a little shady. Our landlord offered us a cut on the rent, so we took it.
I wouldn't have had a garage anymore if we had left this place. |

Lots of ceiling area storage ability!

^ Depending on long it is and how tall of a door, yes, quite handy.
I insist on getting both of them in. It's tight and if I want to do anything other than take pics, I need to pull one of 'em out. The lawn mower is buried as well.

The 190E is a great little car. I know exactly how you feel because I have one (my sister also, because of me). It seems we have similar storage shelves, mine is from Home Depot (grabbed 2 sets and split the other for a different location).
When I park at my friend's garage (inside) the w123 is just the right size. If I had an SEL or SDL in there I might have to move a few things further inside
