Great Wolf Lodge

Anyone ever gone there? I had no idea they were all over the country. The website seems a little sketchy about what things cost. I am fearing they will have a boatload of hidden charges. They mention a "resort fee" which they do not specify. And they have a "special" which appears to be a large pizza for 209.99...

I just stayed there in August at their Sandusky location.

It was very cool. The food was mediocre at best. We had better meals by going to local restaurants.

The kids loved it and it felt similar in quality to The Animal Kingdom Lodge at Disney.

I also stayed at the one in San Dusky. As a kid, it was a great place but as an adult I can only imagine how boring it can be.

Food was so so. I remember my parents taking us out of the resort to get dinner.

Water park was pretty cool however. In door water parks in 10* weather really do have a ton of appeal

So, what are the cost adders after you get there, beyond the room rate?

I have heard that the one near where I reside has a parking lot/garage charge.

I have no use for a company that charges what they do for their services - is why I've never been there.

At the Sandusky location the only extra charges were for locker rentals, movie or video game rentals, and meals. You could buy meal plans to if you wanted, but I would recommend eating elsewhere.

There were also extra things like Camp Wolf Lodge where the kids get to participate in a variety of crafts and other programs.

Here is the info I got for the Seattle location:

Parking: Free
Water Slide: Free
Lodging Fee: 10.00
Nintendo use: 7.00/Hr (I told the guy I thought that was pretty tricky of them to charge that, since they say it comes with the room)
Locker rental: 10.00
Great Space area: 10.00 per person (games in there I think, not sure)
Magi Quest Game Wand: 17-22 (re-usable)
Magi Quest Game Play : 13.00 per person
Arcade games 1.00 each
Cub Club craft activities 5-15 each per person
Tax 10%
