Or was it because he was trying out his new garter belt and didn't want to get it wet in case he had to return it?

I frequently don't lock my car for just this reason. It's more of a bother to replace the window then the $20 stereo

I worry sometimes about the cabrio being broken into but I leave nothing in it and it has a factory radio which thieves should know are impossible to steal as well as use.

That might not be the point. They might just steal it just to steal it. Why do you want a MB Star? Because it is a trophy. Much like guys keep the panties of the girls they lay. Because they can sniff it and get pleasant memories of how they got what piece of tail. Or so I heard.

the answer is easy, simply acquire a German Shepherd trained as a security dog. put him in the back seat of the car with the windows all the way down. anyone who tries to break in will get the surprise of their life.

They did this to my SD one time. broke the triangle glass in the back seat, used a screw driver to pry the deck out of the car, thus damaging the console. $200 for a window and $80 from the wrecker for a new console... all for a $75 Kenwood.

He was driving and tailgating aggressively so I just got out of his way. No need to test if my unisured motorist insurance works.
He probably wanted you to put on the brakes so he could hit you then carjack you when you stopped!

I have had idiots like that in front of me standing on the brake pedal trying to me - Mr. Rich White Man in the Benz (24 year old Diesel LOL ) - to hit them so they could sue me!

similar to the TV show, "Bait Car", put "This car is unlocked and the keys are in the ignition" bumper stickers front and rear. hire a biker gang to watch the car 24/7. when they see the thief breaking in, they launch. no more thief.

My roommate and I both recently had our cars rummaged through. nothing was stolen, but they were parked in the driveway, so we're a little upset. hes the kind of guy with the kind of friends who act like they belong to a biker gang... I have a feeling "Bait Car" will become reality in my neighborhood soon.

That sucks.

One of my loser cousins was caught a few years ago doing that, went to jail, I wasn't sympathetic. Got what he deserved.

That is pretty much what religion is good for. Man is flawed and will not be perfect. So, man's justice isn't perfect either. Take 50 years ago. Crime then was not as easily stopped as today with DNA testing, etc, etc. We keep getting better but probably will never reach perfection. This means that to escape judgment, all I have to do is outwit my fellow man at this time.

But with religion, watch out. Even if I am good enough to outwit mankind, there is still an omnipotent force that will punish me. So, if I get caught by man, I get double punishment because the deity has no respect for the double jeopardy rules. IOW, punishment once is certain, twice is possible.
