Pink whistles bad ... black whistles good

I get the idea the rules should be followed but jeez louise. How obtuse do you have to be to say that if the refs can get away with using pink whistles then the players will think they can do what they want to? I just don't get it.

Pink Whistles

The organizations that govern high school sports in washington state are completely inane.

(Infamous Iowa Pink Visitors'-Lockeroom paint scheme)

It seems that Mr. Todd Stordahl must still be pi55ed-off about a not-too-pleasant-event that may have occured during his recent colon-rectal exam.

LOL, this is very silly.

Career tip: Never accept any job that involves a uniform or a name tag if you over the age of 20.

So, no military, doctors, police officers, firemen, or nurses?

You couldn't see the pick puck on the Pink-lighted ice??? (Say THAT 5 X's with about 4 beers in you, in mixed company, and not do a "spit-take!")

It is easy to reject a job before you are offered one.

Someone has to do "service" jobs, but I wouldn't recommend any of those to my kids.

Last week for cancer awareness the players in the NFL were wearing pink shoes, gloves and other items. They're all gone this week, probably clogging landfills.

That stuff isn't cheap.

Seems to me like it would've been better just to give all that money to cancer research and just put message reminders in the programs and on the scoreboard.

But in our society anymore it seems it's more about *looking like* you're doing something.

Hence the popularity of underpowered ugly cars that get worse fuel mileage than a VW Passat TDI wagon, yet use tremendous amounts of incredibly toxic and inefficiently mined metals. But hey, you look like you're doing something, right?
