I'm simply at a loss for words.

It was close to be being fixed. Was it wrong to say that?

Was there any damage to the train?

That would be my concern.

I had my own version of stupid today.

Rather interesting traffic issue that develops when you must deal with stupid.

I need to make a left turn at a traffic light. I'm waiting in the intersection to make the left, but there is a steady stream of cars coming from the opposite direction, all of which are making a right turn at the same intersection.

Now, somewhere along the waiting time, the light above me is going to change and the line of DB's must stop............correct? I cannot see the light change because I'm directly beneath it.

So, unbeknownst to me, the light does change, but the DB's don't stop...........they continue to make their right turn, without stopping for the now red light............so, I'm not aware of the change...........until the traffic on the crossing road takes off and tries to avoid me by going in front of me...........I'm stuck in a very bad place in the middle of the intersection..............and the DB's will not wait.

You did notice in the last of the article it stated Hair had a head injury, no mention of HIM receiving medical attention, and his SON was flown to a hospital as a precaution. I guess they figured any head injury this clown suffered was too minor to be worried about! Either that or they were concerned his stupidity might be genetic.

And the worst of it is, YOU are now in the wrong! You are either a: running a red light or b: obstructing traffic by not clearing the intersection during your right of way. Bummer!

Yep..........and I really don't have any solution for it. Thankfully, I finished the turn between oncoming vehicles and didn't hit anyone.

One time in Delft (Holland) at a cross roads I saw four cars front bumper to bumper all refusing to move - but to cap it all there was an angry bloke on a bicycle trying to get through the middle...

This was just a case of natural stupidity trying to use artificial intelligence.

We all know that artificial intelligence can never over come natural stupidity !!

There is also the law of inverse natural selection ~ The dumber they are the more they breed !!

Maybe I am wrong, but I believe that since you are already in the intersection, when the light changes YOU have the ROW. Cross traffic must allow you to clear the intersection. Of course, how do you stop a line of "right turn on red after stop" when they refuse to stop, I don't know.

We use what we call a "sacred cow". You just slowly move and dare anyone to hit you.

Well said!

I blame it on the safety of things nowadays survival of the fittest goes out the window.
Bubble wrap everything and stupid has now entered the gene pool.
Probably driving a car next to you.

If you cant see a Friggin train "metal" Tonka trucks or marbles would have taken you out in child hood.

Try texting or for that matter even taking a drink in a 66' Rambler.
At 55 it reminds you to pay attention. Hell even the 240D 4spd keeps you on your toes.
