Double-double animal style, with animal style fries. I must have gained 15lbs in the month I spent in CA.

I love fiddleheads but I've never had then in brine. Just steamed with either a little butter and salt or with vinegar and salt. Are they pickled?

They were canned - and the only thing we had left to eat in a Vermont cabin one winter night. We made the best of it. Not bad on a cracker with a shot of vodka or whiskey.

As long as the vodka or whiskey holds out.....

HANKY PANKY
1 lb. Webber sausage
1 lb. hamburger
1 lb. Velveeta cheese
1 sm. onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. oregano
Party rye bread

Brown sausage, hamburger and onion; drain well. Add garlic salt and oregano. Cut the Velveeta cheese and add to the mixture, stirring until cheese melts. Spoon onto the party rye bread. Place on a cookie sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 5-6 minutes. Serve hot.

elchivito 11-14-2010 09:09 PM

Velveeta, it should be noted, is NOT cheese.
