hello my good friends, i have 1983 300td the key will not shut off the ignition but if i press the horn it shuts it off only in the back postion, the horn work while the key is in forward postion but doesnt work when turn key back but shuts the car off, anybody give me some advice i would greatly appreciate it

Second off, I have absolutely no idea how the horn would be able to shut off a vacuum powered shutoff in our 617s. Has any "special" work been done (ie changes)?

constant project but nothing special, replaced brake booster, rebuilt vacuum pump thats about it, i will post that there im new so thanks for you assistance

There is some very strange mojo with your car if pushing the horn button shuts it off.
