What's the best beer that comes in a 30?

I want to bring some beer back home for Thanksgiving, but don't want to empty my wallet on really good stuff. I'm not a huge fan of light beer. I was thinking maybe Labatt Blue (despite being canadian) or Miller Genuine Draft maybe. What's the consensus here? This is for taste, I'm not looking to get trashed with my family.

Tecate or Labatt. I used to drink lotsa pbrs, but then I realized they are kinda too sweet. Good luck on this monumental decision.

Pfft, buy a 24 pack of Corona. If you need 30 then buy 2

But if I had to chose in that list, I would pick pbr. My hipster friends would agree

What would the CLK man get?

haha, you nailed it. Most popular here is keystone light, which I've decided is better than busch (which actually tastes a little like dirt). You rarely see heavy beer, though.

Dogfish Head 60-minute IPA.

(Tape together five 6-packs to make your own 30.)

+1 for Samuel Adams. Boston Lager is a very good beer for the price. It's usually not that much more than the premium macros by Bud and Miller.

You're in a crappy region for beer.

But I recently come across a decent cheap beer, if you can find it...

Mickeys. They call them grenades. Maybe I'm outta the loop, but these are new to me. Never saw them in NY / East coast area.

Ha, that's funny. Mickey's would be entirely appropriate if the op's family was homeless... and a buncha litterbugs...

+2 on the Sam Adams. Much better than the Miller/Bud crap that has been marketed to the American people as beer. Sierra Nevada ale ain't bad either. In fact on tap it's a damned good beer, great balance of hops and malt.

New Glaurus Spotted Cow.

You might have to come to the border of Wisconsin to get some, but anywhere south, or along the Madison I-39/I-90/I-94 corridore should score you a few 6-packs you can (as Eskimo put it...) tape together.

Hell, just fill the trunk and bring it back and resell it to your neighbors at twice the price...and you'll get it...easily.

Anyway you like, it might be just the right diversion for the holidays.

Enjoy!
