Is This Man Lying?

What do you think? www.lifeaftertheoilcrash.net/Archives2010/November27.html
I thought he brought up some valid points, as well as some points that may make some of you feel very uncomfortable.

It is a lot of fluff with a very few facts, one of which, at least , I don't think is true. I don't think 70% of US tax dollars goes for defense, more like 20 to 25% depending on how you count it up. It is true that people in many other countries do get more vacation that we do, and the Scandanavians always seem very happy with their system, when surveyed, but I never asked any myself.

I also thought that the 70% figure seemed inflated. Thank you for responding.

About time, I have been waiting for you to post it lol.

I am sure this thread will get ugly real quick.

Does anybody else have the gut feeling that the USA will break apart like the USSR did? It's just a feeling I have had for a couple years now.

Oh and of course I agree with the OP... on just about everything

I'd say 5-10 years, but I do find the 12/21/2012 prophecies interesting.

Yep- I left the USA for a decade. Before I left I lived in Minnesota, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Arizona, Montana and Florida. Then I left and lived and worked in Caribbean, the CNMI, Guam, Palau, the Marshall Islands, Costa Rica, Panama, the Northwest Hawaiian islands and visited the rest of Micronesia, Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. I met people like the writer of this story; sour young Americans that wanted a great rainbow of health and love to descend upon them freely. They all had some story of how bad the USA was and why. Some parts of any story that people have has merit, but mostly it was the sour attitude clothed in some form of hippie "love" that shone thru if you had clear vision to see what they were really communicating. Mark Twain said "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.", and that is normally true after you travel enough. The writer in the link unfortunately shows it's not fatal to his prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness.

Einstein once said that the 4th World war would be fought with sticks and stones.
I doubt that a bomb will annhiliate earth..I believe man will ruin it , take a look at what we are doing to the rain forest's, and the ozone layer..

Some of it is true. Some is drivvle. Some valid points raised worthy of concern, some conspiracy nutjob bs. Mostly sounds like the sour grapes of someone who is too lazy to make it in the US and finds other places that cater to such lazyness more to his liking.

I don't believe everything I read but I have read similar accounts about the state of the US. It's interesting reading... but then again I believe in aliens. So some might feel I am a little "off". But it's funny because I think people who don't believe this stuff are off. It seems very obvious to me that this country is out of control.

Some folks say "love it or leave it". That is simply easier said than done. I don't love it and I don't hate it, yet. No other country will just let you willy nilly move there. You need to jump through lots of hoops. I envy the EU citizens because they can live/work anywhere in the EU they please. I wish the "E" in EU stood for Earth and not European. I would like to willy nilly live and work anywhere on the planet I pleased.

Of particular interest, is 'When will China call in the U.S.'s marker's'? Also of interest is the part about the suburbs in the U.S. being supplied by trucks..so what happens when the oil runs out?
Instead of critiqueing the views that have been presented, and dismissing them as some lunatic that hates the U.S., I think Americans would be better served if they understood that these things are real posibility's, and start now to figure out a game plan, in the event these scenario's actually occur.
