OD Residents: Time Travel Mission

Residents of OD! I propose the following scenario to you:

You have been awesomely granted the power of vehicular time travel.

What vehicle would you take to what time period, (past or future)...?

What intentions do you have when you get there, we're not bound by any foolish prime-directive or any posh Laissez-Faire policy, contaminate the timeline to your hearts content!

How would you go about maintaining said vehicle in the time period?

Sidebar:
Pretty much the entire 3rd installment of the Back To The Future series could have been avoided if doc brown had diesel powered his delorean. Am I right?

GOOOOOOOOOOO!

4000 BC. Life was much simpler, and without political internet threads.

You could accomplish that by going back to the 1960s, AND you'd have the benefits of (almost) modern medicine and sanitation.

I have always viewed Edsel Ford as a tragic figure; a sensitive artist dominated by a tyrannical father. I would like to be able to take a modern vehicle, ( almost ANY modern vehicle) back to 1940 and show him. He was a champion of unitary construction, so it would have to be a uni-body. Since he was the President of Lincoln, a modern Lincoln would be appropriate. The automatic transmission is merely an updates and more refined version of his father's Model T transmission. He also championed hydraulic brakes, so he would appreciate that feature, too, ( can you believe there was actually a debate over hydraulic brakes?)

I would take my modern John Deere tractor with implements including haying equipment and several thousand gallons of diesel fuel back to about 1880.

Having had neck surgery I'd go no further back than the first instance of front seat head restraints. 1968? 1969?

June 2006....

To warn myself not to take the PA job and not to invest in a program that turned out to be completely false .

You go back to June 2006 and warn yourself, hopefully disguised. Since if you contact yourself in the past consequences could be horrendous (BTTF PII). You warn yourself, never get that job, never invest. Phew... future is safe.

however you are now trapped in an alternate timeline and can never go back to your own since you modified the space time continuum.

Then, you never went back in time since you never had that job or horrible investment scam and you never warned yourself...

Now since you never warned yourself you get that crap job and invest in a scheme that screws you over
Go to 1

You are now stuck in an infinite loop. I'm going to go drive my convertible now

I think I'd take an SD or other 617 powered vehicle back to the mid 20s, when people were just starting to drive cars...

I'd grab a collection of mp3 CDs and scare the **** out of people with going fast and playing hardcore techno music or maybe some Rammstein. LOL

I'd probably buy a bunch 20's series bills, go back and get a Cord, a Cadillac, a Duesenberg, and a few other current cars, along with building a very large, very secure barn to store them in. Come back around 2004-2005, and "discover" this old family farm building, make a few million off sub-1000mile extremely rare cars.
Take that money, buy more classic money, go back and buy gold, repeat.
