I went to Sam's last night and bought $600 worth or Tylenol, Zyrtec, Claritin and Band-aids.

I'm also scheduled for my eye exam.

I guess it depends on the plan for the non otc expenses from Jan 1 to Mar. 15th.

Our Sec. 125 plan permits expenses incurred (co-pays, dental, etc) 1/1 to 3/15 of yr 2 to be paid from yr 1 employee contributions.

You are correct with the OTC change, unless they are purchased under a doc's RX.
