Exclamation When a Mercedes meets a Mustang

....all 3 survived, barely.
Took some serious chopping to get the 70 year old driver out of the MB.

Be careful on the roads. There's going ot be a lot of bad driving conditions around the country this Christmas. Drive safely. Please!

Wow, there was some velocity involved in that accident. The benz passenger compartment does seem to be intact. BTW, what is that; a W210, 211, 212?

Another paper said it was a 1997 model year. It looks like an E class to me from the pic as Paul posted and the left rear door shape in the accident pic. E420 maybe? I don't recognize any of the names.

Yup, that would be a W210, either a E320 or E420.

That's a bad curve on a two lane state highway that people constantly exceed the 50 mhp speed limit. People will normally drive 60 in the straightaways heading from north and south. They may have hit traveling at 45-55 each.

I looked at buying a house on that bend about 15 years ago, when I got divorced. It was an old whaling tavern. Bad location. though.

"The Tavern House (circa 1725), located on the corner of Route 47 and Goshen Landing Road is one of the oldest original homes in Cape May County. It was at different period through the years, a tavern, hotel, dentist office and residence. While significant changes were made over the years, much of the original workmanship is still evident. Rough hewn logs still support the house and wooden pegs can be found holding the rafters in place."

Here's the other article on the accident

Whats more impressive is that neither car seems to have had any fire! Very unusual.

That car will probably be on eBay next week; "needs some work."
