What Is Your Personal/Family & Business Financial Outlook For The New Year of 2011?
Mine is cautiously and overtly optimistic from a working income POV, and magnificently optimistic from an investing POV. - But that's another story.
The field of investing in stocks and bonds have spoken for themselves the past 2 years. Investments are way up for almost 2 years straight - for their own individual reasons. Basically, with little effort, they take care of themselves. What is and has always been the Wild Card to me for the past 39 years is, how much am I gonna earn working this year, how much taxes will I be required to pay, and lastly - how much jack can I put away permanently in my various IRAs for my future? That's the only real thing of time-consuming interest to me these days, since I still dabble in the workplace - for now anyway. I am trying to be prepared in gearing up to capitalize on how my adopted homestate of 33 years now, Texas, is re-expanding in a big way because of over one million new transplants inside of 2 years, and at least as many new jobs statewide as the expansion continues from emigration eminating from the east, west, north, and of course the south. In my industry, even though badly depressed - actually it is sickeningly depressed as a whole, has still thrown off for me personally, respectable amounts of jack. I feel/believe it will take little effort to build it in the coming months, as I have tentatively decided to do. The miles are gonna be racked up on the coach in the coming months, because of this. The post Christmas week has always been of great joy to me since a young lad, and my years as a teen at Wentworth Military Academy in the 1960s and 1970s. I really miss the times going back to the academy after Christmas furlough and the New Years night Orange Bowl in those days. It was good getting back in the swing of things then, and as an adult I have always found it good to get back into the work schedule and perspective for all these years too. See ya down the road. . . . . . . Last edited by Skid Row Joe; 12-27-2010 at 09:10 PM. |

I'm going to make at least $2,000,000 on my Berkshire Hathaway stock which I bought many years ago because I'm much smarter than the average investor.
Then, I'm going to buy myself a diesel motorcoach and drive all over the United States and tell everybody I can find how much fuel I'm going to save. And, I'm going to payoff my mortgage so that I have even more money to invest in more Berkshire Hathaway stock because I believe Warren Buffet is a veritable genius. Did I tell you that I can show anybody how to make $1,000,000. by the time they are 40 years old? I'm a financial genius if you haven't already figured that out. |

My outlook is great! I now have a new job, with great pay, with a company that has a VERY diverse customer base. they didn't slow down much during the economic slow down of the last 2 years.
Between the income from the employer, and interest off of two inheritences from two very loved family members, I think I'll be fine this next year.

Well, I gave all my money away and let my tenants live rent free. Why be burdened by your possessions?
Thus, instead of regular work I will keep busy by waking early and searching the curbsides on garbage pickup day. I'll also raid the dumpsters at my local supermarkets for barely expired bread and yogurt, {a big scam and waste}. And as for a roof over my head what makes a better shelter than the lovely stars?

Back in the 90's, when I was involved with the hobbyist electric vehicle community, the going joke was "How do you make a million dollars building and selling electric cars?".
Same answer.
