I believe that is the case. But you won't see much coverage of it in the mainstream media because they wouldn't want to offend any Muslims....

Guess the tables have turned.

Yeah, I'd like to see that comment explained, too.

This should be amusing.

If I have to explain your education level would be so low that I doubt you could grasp anything I would say. But I will be nice and give a hint: crusades.

Ara T. 01-04-2011 06:36 PM

Actually they were quite tolerant of (non-crusading) Christians in the crusades. But for the past 100+ years it hasn't been good to be Christian in a Muslim state.. the tables have indeed turned, the roles are reversed.

Muslims are killing Christians. Is that genocide? I doubt it. Americans are killing Muslims. Is that genocide? I doubt that too.

Botnst 01-04-2011 07:47 PM

Americans are killing combatants who are probably Muslims, but the intention is not to kill Muslims.

The Muslim fanatics in Egypt and elsewhere invoke religion in their persecutions of Christians, BaHai, Zoroastrians, Hindus, apostate Muslims, writers, artists, cartoonists, etc.

Ah, but are the Christians killing the Muslims because they're Muslim? Christians are targeted because they're Christian. An invasion of Afghanistan was not launched because the country was predominantly Muslim.

David

The only religious group targeting Muslims for murder are opposing Muslim sects (i.e. Sunni vs. Shiite).

David

aww, that's a sweet way of putting it...... but you are right: two BS degees, an MS plus 20 years of military education and training and I still can't figure out people like you....:D

"Ibn Jubayr's described the Muslims living under the Christian crusaders' Kingdom of Jerusalem:

We left Tibnin by a road running past farms where Muslims live who do very well under the Franks-may Allah preserve us from such a temptation! ... The Muslims own their own houses and rule themselves in their own way. This is the way the farms and big villages are organized in Frankish territory. Many Muslims are sorely tempted to settle here when they see the far from comfortable conditions in which their brethren live in the districts under Muslim rule. Unfortunately for the Muslims, they have always reason for complaint about the injustices of their chiefs in the lands governed by their coreligionists, whereas they can have nothing but praise for the conduct of the Franks, whose justice they can always rely on.[40]"

there was a LOT of killing going on during the 200 odd years of the Crusades, but I am not certain the goal was genocide....YMMV

The question wasn't whether Muslims were killing Christians because they were Christians or whether Americans were killing Muslims because they were Muslims. The question was whether Muslims are engaging in genocide. I see no evidence of that.

"Genocide": interesting word from a leader of a party that finds it's roots in Nazi Germany and fascist Italy.

Interesting, but maybe not complete:
"The Kataeb party was founded by Pierre Gemayel in 1936, who modeled the party after Spanish and Italian Fascist parties[1][2] he had observed as an Olympic athlete during the 1936 Summer Olympics held in Berlin, then Nazi Germany.[3][4] The movement's uniforms originally included brown shirts and members used the Nazi salute[5]. Despite the party's uniform, its strong nationalism and dedication to a single charismatic leader, the Lebanese Kataeb was not and never became a fascist party.[6]"
