Need a simple drawing program for Windows

Something like Macdraw. There used to be QuickDraw I think but I can't find that. I just need to make simple mechanical drawings. Paint doesn't quite cut it. Any suggestions? Thanks

I've never used it myself, but you might have a look at Inkscape.

Try Paint.Net more like a Paint Shop Pro replacement.

Free and it works well
