Anybody here ever paddle a BIG Voyageur style canoe?

I'm thinking of getting one. I've paddled lots of different canoes over the years but I've always liked the big canoes of the fur trade and never had a chance to paddle one. I'm thinking something in the 25-28' range, (North Canoe) big enough to do a long trip with 4-6 people in it. I wouldn't mind paddling a 36' Montreal canoe but it's really too big for river trips.

We get all we need for up to 10 days in a modified K2 . It has a luggage opening between the people openings & one behind the rear person. We put a 60ltr barrel inside down in front of the feet of the front persons feet, 2 esky's (ice boxes) in the opening between the 2 people & a barrel & an esky in the back opening. All the other stuff is just packed in around the seats & any place else. A barrel is stacked on top of the 2 esky's. The kayak only just floats to begin with but as the food & drinking water load lightens it lifts out of the water. I like to take a water melon for the first couple of days, it sits between my legs.
4 to 6 in a canoe for days on end would be a challenge! I have seen couples nearly come to blows after a few days!

There's the advantage. It's not just a couple anymore.
Good tandem canoeing is a good as good sex. I'm thinking a Voyageur canoe equates to group sex.
