Exclamation Post a picture of the city where you're from !

Hey guys! Let's all post a photo of the city your from/live in. or if you were born and raised somewhere and than moved, post a photo of the city you came from. Let's see how far this goes!

For those who live in the same city that was already posted by someone, lets try to find different shots and perspectives of the city!

****************
I'll start:

Born in San Francisco.

Moved out in November 2004.

waterfront

Now in Grass Valley, CA (180 miles northeast of SF, a charming historic Gold Rush country, much less Mercedes Benz friendy than SF)

We DO get snow up here though now and then.

a nice sunset by my house in GV

I was born in Hartford since that's where all the hospitals were. From a distance it looks pleasant enough.

Riverfront Plaza (Convention Center left, Science Center has the funky roofline)

Capitol Building

Old State House (1796)

Bushnell Park

Soldier's & Sailor's Memorial Arch

Here are some pics from around my 'hood. Largest historic district in CT (none of our current houses are historically significant). It was really tough to narrow it down to a select few!

Silas Robbins House-owner Johnson & Robbins Seed Co. (company my great, great grandfather worked for and eventually bought)

Joseph Webb House-George Washington met French Gen. Rochambeau to plan campaign to victory in Yorktown.

Silas Deane House-home of Silas Deane, Continental Congress

George Hubbard House-cir. 1690 oldest in town.

Cove Warehouse-Operational from 1650-1830.

We're one of the few cities that built a monument to the people who left!

Spotted near Uptown (hipster part of the city).

Lake Harriet, a few blocks from me.

Sister lake, Lake Calhoun on my running route

City living, I'll take it anyday

No town around here, but this is where I'm from and will always be. I took this from the porch.

I never thought of taking her picture before (that's what tourists do), but the dark clouds in the distance compelled me to stop and get this shot. Greetings from Jersey City.
