Their wildly optimistic figures give me pause. It may or may not be a good design, but something in the tone and history makes me wonder how solid these people are.

A better video for explaining it. Its an interesting concept, I just wish to see some dyno numbers and to put the little thing under load and see what happens. My brain is having trouble with that small of a device creating such massive power... If, in fact, it does go into mass production and is introduced into cars...I wonder what they'd look like....cars with no front ends / long hoods? |

Thats where the 'but' comes in. Stopping and starting pistons is essentially doing the same thing as an existing reciprocating engine. Only he needs massive gear sets and cams to handle the opposing thrusts.
