Frank Buckles, who passed February 27, 20110 was the last surviving US veteran.

Wikipedia still lists two surviving veterans of World War I

* Claude Choules (b. 1901), fought with the Royal Navy.
* Florence Green (b. 1901), served as waitress in the Women's Royal Air Force.

May all be remembered.

I should have titled it the last American Veteran, maybe a mod can modify at some point, his Wikipedia page is worth Reading I thought.
