Actually i read a book about the "original" siamese twins. it was a pair of men joined at the hip by a thick but fairly flexible fleshy attachment.
They were able to do heavy work and both married, different women and had children. They took turns at one house then the other at night. Making love must have been interesting. I believe they lived in the 1800's and in the US but were of Siamese extraction. Today they would be separated easily. I don't know about the legality of marrying if they were not separated.
