When I lived in New york City during my years at NYU, one of my neighbors was adult film actress Sharon Mitchell...she crashed a summer backyard BBQ party and spent the evening showing everyone that she really did have inverted nipples.

I read about this today at work in the Purdue Exponent, the student run paper. Hard to believe the arrogance of this prof thinking he could get away with such irresponsbile behaviour!

So the question is, what is irresponsible about it? I teach canoeing. It always involves hands on work and observation of other people running rapids. Of course, canoeing is usually done in public whereas sex is typically done in private. Would it have been less of a problem if they had watched a video of the same thing? Lots of other stuff the prof does seems quite good, such as having atypical people talk to the students about their sexual experiences.

I think it's shocking and it causes problems for the administration at the school once it hits the media because it's inevitable it will become the talk of the town. It's very unlikely a president will defend the practice in public even if the she might support it in private. I wonder who took the session to the media and why?
