Nelliebell britches

This is just stupid....

In a letter to Speaker John Boehner (Ohio) and other Republican leaders, the nine Democrats say the Styrofoam cups and other dining materials could hold chemical components that could cause cancer. The Democrats are upset with the switch to Styrofoam from recyclable materials put into place when Democrats ran the House. http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/148027-dems-congress-styrofoam-cups-could-cause-cancer

As opposed to why they switched from a re-cycled product to a wasteful piece of trash such as Styrofoam?

Typical...the previous batch of Dems, when they were running things, don't want to abide by the "Kiss Mother Earth's A55" crowd-mandates, so they switched over to styrofoam/plastic. Now, when they are in the minority, they create a "controversy" because they can push and blame the other side if "...nothing's being done to correct this Earth-shattering travesty..."

These Demo-pusses wouldn't caterwaul when their side was dumping the recycled crap but now, all of a sudden, the furballs have evolved an inkling of a back-bone and "demand" corrective changes be made because of a sudden outbreak of "health ethics?"

Here's an untested idea...

Take these nine Demo-wimps and tell them to go suck on some styrofoam cups and plasticware and come back when they have proof that they got cancer from the things...in the meantime, let them know that they are free to jam their California-rat-based junk-science into their own moist, dark Hershey's tube, carefully sit down and then, STFU.

Or better yet, bring their own knife, fork and spoon from home if they're too scared to face life like regular folks have to.

I have to hand it to the republicans, they are getting pretty good at pandering to the trailer park wing of their party.

"Eliminating polystyrene-related health impacts will result in fewer lost work days and lower heath insurance costs for the House and its staff," the lawmakers write. "This benefit alone should outweigh any cost savings from using polystyrene containers."

similar to the logic of why Obama care will be cheaper

Also, putting 9 plastic bags over their heads will result in less looniness on Capital Hill, a temporary cost savings for the taxpayers, and upturn in the funeral business and more work for those currently-unemployed poll-workers in those Democratic Districts where these wussies came from.

Sounds like a WIN-WIN for everyone...and since the bags are already on their heads, just finish bagging them up and then you have 9 Earth-friendly packages ready for retirement. Only thing missing are the bows.

And who is the supplier of the Styrofoam cups...of-course a good friend of the tea-party: George Wurtz a former executive of Koch Industries subsidiary Georgia-Pacific LLC. What a surprise!

The "Dear Colleague" notice soliciting signatures from other lawmakers, which was circulated by Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.), is titled "Cancer Causing Cups in the Cafeteria?"

republican representatives are realing from nonright ridicule over unrestrained cup replacement

Next time you go to the gents room, notice those little sickly sweet smelling blocks in the tray. They are paradichlorobenzine, lovely stuff, makes a bit of residue styrene monomer in a cup look like the elixir of good health.
There are synthetic chemicals every where, best find some fresh air.
Why cant these guys just have re-usable cups with their name on them like most people do !!

It's easier to just bring your own coffee mug.

But I agree. Styrofoam is no good. That ***** isn't durable, reusable only barely, and those bits get all over the place. Waste of money and just takes up space in landfills.

They would be in favor of the common cold if the democrats were against it. That's what happens when one is completely uninhibited by the thought process; they just react.
