CO2...a copper ball and a reallly annoying cat that belongs to a neighbor

I have a cat problem.

I also have a CO2 handheld pistol with pellets and BBs.

Can I solve my cat problem (male, and full of fluids) without severely injuring it?

I believe he belongs to a neighbor nearby... I'm just not that malicious.

I've picked off squirrels with BB's and sent them to the Big Birdfeeder in the Sky. Your aim would be the determining factor.

Try mothballs?

jt20 03-09-2011 02:59 PM

mothballs, huh? Just place them around the area I want protected?

What do you think the effective radius is around each one?

just found this:

Moth Balls Are Toxic to Cats
Moth balls contain naphthalene and paradichlorobenzene. Both of these ingredients are highly poisonous to cats. Consequences of ingestion of moth balls in cats include weakness, vomiting, diarrhea, anemia, seizures, liver damage and possible death.

....sounds great!!!!

 I know all of the old-school Italians put them in their gardens to keep them out. I think the smell is a deterrent. I can't imagine them wanting to eat them.

How about knocking on your neighbors door instead of shooting the cat? I would not use BBs at all, they are certainly capable of killing it. MAYBE the worst would be an airsoft pellet but even that is still not very nice and illegal. How about one of the many legal forms of cat repellent, such as critter repellent, or large game scent?

Google iis a wonderful thing.

The gun I have is pretty weak compared to the pump-up air guns. It can go through the first few pages of a phone book from 15-20 ft away.

I promise not to shoot it... just yet.

Maybe if I just pee all over the place it will get the hint?

Electric fence?

I'll pick some up.

Thanks.

not worth it. The area is kinda off the property where I park cars.

But maybe a noise maker would do?

look on the side for a latch that looks like a safety switch. Open it up and there should be a hole there... you dig?

Pellets have to be placed in one at a time.

That's what confused me with the mothball toxicity to cats post. They aren't great for humans either. I can't imagine anything with a sense of smell eating mothballs.

That would def pierce skin of a kitty I think.

Why don't you just leave a trail of catnip into another neighbors yard?
