until you get used to it's effects, consider wearing adult diapers (know someone who took it)

Just be advised that diuretics like that can contribute to:

- cardiac arrhythmia from lack of potassium;

- severe renal imbalance, in case this happens, have a kidney donor handy

- irritable bowel syndrome, which often takes a while to recover from, and leads to dehydration in hotter climates

The only way to truly lose weight is by physical activity. Taking a pill doesn't do much except harm.

Its all a mathematical equation. Your body needs X number of calories per day to function, everyone is different based on age, body build, activity level, and genetics. I could be anywhere from say 1800-2600, maybe more.

At the end of the day you need to be X number of calories below that number to lose weight. You can do this through eating less, or exercising more, or better yet a combination of both.

As for will power get it, if you want it bad enough figure it out.

Why would you call it a diuretic? Is that one of the principle functions? I looked at THIS and didn't find the word diuretic. From a layman's point of view, it stops fat absorption and can give you loose stools but how did you call it a diuretic?

Depending on the food you take, your stool might be looser or not because of the rejection of the fat. A little gas might be it but when I used it, there were no major side effects. Every drug will list the boilerplate list of side effects.

When the wife studied pharmacology, she would memorize all the usual suspects, aka the side effects and relist them. Certain drugs had unique side effects so she would memorize those too. Didn't have to remember each and every drug's side effects. Say if you asked her about Viagra, she would tell you that you might see blue spots and list the usual list from head to toe.

Just don't blow gas if you feel like it and it won't leak any more than when you have diarrhea.

A purely calorie intake based diet is simplistic since it doesn't account for nutrient content or metabolism. For instance, Atkins followers lose weight while consuming a relatively high calorie diet, however the calorie count is not from sugars or carbohydrates.

The timing of a friend's flirtation with the Atkins Diet and quintuple bypass procedure kinda puts me off the idea of a bacon cheeseburger regimen...
