Tinted Windows

Thinking about either 15% or 20% all around and XP 70% on the windshield.
I didn't think people tinted the front windshield.Has anyone done this?

It's against the law to tint the windshield in most states, other than the tiny tinted uv strip thing that you are allowed to have at the very top of the windshield.

If you go for quality, then the 3M ceramic films are virtually clear, but have the UV and thermal reduction of dark films. It can be applied to the windshield. Also, since it has no metals in it, it will not interfere with sat, gps or mobile communications.

I have 15 all around on my 300D. Keeps the interior and in better shape and keeps in cooler in the summer. It does seem a bit dark at night sometimes I think, when it is time to do it again Im going for 20.

Can you say more about this? Is it widely available? I'm planning to tint my Fuso since the cab is small and windshield huge. If I can tint the windshield it will make a big difference.

I have 20% on all the rear windows of my wagon and 35% on the front. Its dark during the day, but not too dark at night.

I am going to go with 5% on the rear of my C and 20% on the front.

I run 15 rear and 50 front on my 260E (for CA laws), I think it looks great and cops can still see you so less reason to pull you over. Last thing I wanted was a fix-it ticket. What a waste of tint and money only to have it re-applied.

3M Crystalline and Nano Ceramic pretty much owns the market on ceramic window film and only sell the materials to authorized installers. The film is essentially clear, but rejects more infrared than dark tints.

Besides the law, can you see with it that dark? I have the SUV tinted. Windows are as dark as the back and the front glass has 15% tint. Sure it is illegal. However, the issue is that now my wife can't drive that thing in the evening or dark since she can't see that well in the dark.
