I would never have sheepskins in any of my cars. But if I did, they would have to be quality. Expect to spend at least $150-$300 for the REAL DEAL.

I have the char colored ones in most of my cars. Here in Australia, those exact covers are normally $50 each (per seat) from one of the auto shops, they come on special for $20 about every 6 months. The part that you sit on is genuine sheep skin, the edge bits are synthetic.
They are warm in winter & cool in summer. They are more comfortable than leather or MBtech.
Top of the range sheep skin covers can be as much as $400 a seat here. I guess you could just have a sheep skin coat ~ $500 .
I originally just had a sheep skin strapped to the seat of my old 300D.

I love buying cars with sheepskin seat covers... and tearing them off to reveal perfect leather underneath.

My mom got me a pair for my old W123 long ago. They were from some MB aftermarket parts catalog that came in the mail, probably cost her 300 bucks... but they were NICE and they last forever and don't stink up your car either like the cheapos.

Make sure that you can fit the arm-rest spindle thru it. I bought a quality one from Costco but end up using the bottle half only. I have no way to fit the top half without removing the arm rest cushion and/or poking a hole thru the sheep skin side.

Buy the new one which does not cover the side. Some new seat has side airbag and you are not suppose to cover it.

Well, I bought a pair for the 380SL yesterday before I saw this. They look to be from the Brookstone outlet and I looked up the brand advertised and found them on Amazon for $80 each with generally good reviews. I am sure they are not the best you can buy by a longshot, but they're not fake ( or not much fake content).

These are going on over ripped up leather- if SWMBO approves perhaps I can avoid replacing the leather....for awhile

I have one that was on my W116 for a year while I got around to new seat covers. It has a 1" hole for the arm rest on the right hand side. Send me your address and it's yours.

I had them on my D and liked them a lot in FL heat, but it had crappy covers underneath. My coupe will soon be sporting brand new covers and I would just hate to cover them up, but if I got a set of real sheepskins cheap I would probably use them. very cool and breathable

Even if it was a 1983 "Cadillac" Cimmaron?

Or you could find leather that has been buried under the skins since day one, some with drying and some with mold stains, since they haven't been cleaned or "fed" ever.
