2012 VW bug envy

I like the 2012 bug. The flatter roof and hood give it a really neat look. I'd still get one.

My sister had a '71 Super. Lime yellow/black. Thing ran like a top for over a decade. Finally sold it for a AWD Subi when they moved to the mountains.

Yeah- it doesn't look like a Beetle any more. Maybe they should have called it a revival of the bathtub Porsche....

Staring to look too much like a PT cruiser, with that rear wheel flair and all.

So what do they call it now? The new new beetle?

How many chances do they have to get it right?

Kind of has some nuances of a Renault Dauphine up front, and that's not a good overtone.

They are kind of turning it into a crappy FWD 911.

I'd recommend saving more money and buying a Caymen, since its a thousand times better in every area.

Wow. Bathtub Porsche is right, but in a really awkward fashion. The (old) New Beetle was a complete chick car and had few redeeming qualities. This one just looks plain wrong.

The "new" Microbus they are coming out with looks equally disgusting.

IMHO, the older beetle looked much cleaner. The new beetle is a chick car, and should look like a chick car. This looks more like an Audi TT with ugly body panels.
