To the shores of Tripoli

Let's see.
We task Predators to flyover Libya.
"Nato" bombs Ghadafi's family compound.
Is this an attempt to assassinate the Colonel?

Whatcha think about that , Mr Church? ;):o

This Libya "incursion" (it sure ain't a no fly zone enforcement or humanitarian mission any more:rolleyes:) has bad news written all over it for the US.

But, hey, we support the Troops, errr, the Rebels. Just ask "Ambassador" McCain:

"The American people support you very strongly, and we know it's necessary to help as much as we can," McCain told a woman who thanked him for U.S. support.

I am not a fan of this type of intervention. I can tell you that Qaddafi has done more damage than you will probably ever read about, to about 5 million people.
But then, the same is true with the boys in Enron.

Some would say they deserve the same fate.

Or as the French say:
"Qu'on fasse venir les coupe-tête! " Bring on the head choppers!

...and what's the plan if they do get rid of him?

ramonajim 04-25-2011 01:40 PM

Why, to let the rebels take charge. of course....

Ooops - hrm, may need to re-think this one.

This name ring a bell? Abu Sufian Ibrahim Ahmed Hamuda Bin Qumu.

Former guest of ours down in Guantanamo.

Seems he trained at two al-Qaida camps, fought in Afghanistan against the Soviets and the Northern Alliance, and moved to Sudan with other al-Qaida members.

We decided to hand him over to Ghadafi as a "good faith gesture" a few years ago. Now he's training rebels in - yep, Libya.

Kinda sticky when you get your feet stuck in both sides of the equation, ain't it?

I don't know. But the longer the Col. sticks around the worse we (& NATO) look. :o
