Ahem, about those 1967 borders

Happy Anniversary!

44 years ago, the Egyptians were in full retreat to the South, the Jordanians wondering how they got snookered into this fight in the East and Syria waiting to get scrubbed from the Golan Heights. They didn't have long to wait.
June 5-10, 1967.
As these things go, a spectacular azz-whoopin.

That is, all except the part when the US Navy was used as target practice.

Other than the nationalistic sentiment of the "June 6, 1944" thread...same thing.

Figure of speech mostly. War is certainly a tragedy in all cases. However, people, victors, generally celebrate the result, the ending, if not the event.

So,yes, I'm happy the way with the way it turned out. Or perhaps more accurately, I'm happier for the way it didn't turn out. From my personal perspective.

not that tripe.....

Actually, though I doubt you really are interested, I just finished reading "The Only Thing Worth Dying For", a book about the first US Army Special Forces ODA to go into the Pashtun region of Afghanistan during the first days of GWOT. Their insurgent they linked up with was a guy named Hamid Kharzi. The book decribes the ops until and leading to the surrender of the Taliban at Kandahar to Kharzi. A great book about heroism and day to day details in the life of an ODA team. If you are a Barnes & Noble fan, it's on sale there.

I am not into any of those readings per se. I have yet to see clear evidence to the fact that the protocols are actual forgery.

While on the other side, the tales of 'Heroism' throughout the West's quest for domination are elevated to ultimate truth, incorporated in biblical referendums often leveled and equated to "God's Word"

Yet it brings up an interesting aspect in regards to the subject.

Do you think Zionism is Heroism?

The definition of racism is not limited to skin color, nor is Zionism confined to Jewish people, or exclusive to Judaism.

The Protocols of the Elders of Zion?
Well, that certainly says something about you.
